Who this covers
This policy applies to the RentalVault iOS app (“the app”), published by Axel Rafn (“we”, “us”). If you have any questions, email hello@rentalvault.app.
What the app stores
Everything you enter is stored locally on your device only, including:
- Properties, units, tenants (including any name, phone, or email you add), and leases
- Rent payments, expenses, and maintenance records
- Photos and documents you attach, such as receipts, lease PDFs, or maintenance photos
This information stays in the app on your device. It is not sent to us or to anyone else.
What we collect
Nothing. RentalVault has no user accounts, no analytics, no tracking or advertising identifiers, and no server that receives your data. Because we operate no server, we have no way to see or store what you enter.
Purchases
The one-time unlock is sold and processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple handles the payment; we never receive your card or payment details. Apple may share anonymous, aggregate sales information with us under its own terms, which does not identify you.
Backups
If you enable iCloud Backup or device backups in iOS, your RentalVault data may be included in those backups. Those backups are created and controlled by you through Apple’s services and are governed by Apple’s privacy policy, not by us. The app itself does not upload your data anywhere.
Sharing your data
We do not sell, share, or disclose your data — because we never receive it. Any report you export as PDF or CSV is created on your device and shared only by you, to recipients you choose.
Your control
You can view, edit, or delete any record directly in the app at any time. Deleting a record also removes its attached photos or documents. Deleting the app removes its data from your device.
Children
RentalVault is intended for adults managing rental property and is not directed to children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we’ll post the updated version here with a new “last updated” date.
